MISSION DRIVEN

The mission of Bridging the Gap, Nursing Consulting, LLC is to educate leaders and staff on how to foster an environment that builds a bridge between leaders and staff. This agency’s mission is to fill in the gaps with training new hires, current staff and leaders through the art of caring, professionalism in the work place, effective communication skills and how to handle conflict. We believe these strategies will fill the gaps in these areas. These strategies will foster and develop a Shift in the environment. 

Mary J. Shaw better known as “Nurse Mary” has an Incredible nursing career that spans almost four decades. Her expansive experience includes assignments in multiple units including public health, intensive care, telemetry, home healthcare, and nurse education.

She received her associate degree from a community college and continued until she received a master’s degree in nursing education from the University of Phoenix in 2009. In addition, Mary holds several certifications both in Michigan and Georgia.

Mary is the proud mother of one daughter, Andrea Shaw who is the current title holder of Ms. Olympia 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 respectively, and Ms. Rising Phoenix 2020, 2021, and 2022 consecutively.
